Lockout is OFFICIALLY Over

The NBA lockout that lasted 161 days is officially over. Teams will officially start training camp tomorrow.

Owners who originally locked out the players on July 1st ratified the new collective bargaining agreement by a vote of 25-5. Over 86% of the 200 players electronically voted to approve the new agreement.

The agreement is a 10 year deal in which either side can opt out of after six years if either side chose to opt out.

“It’s a new beginning in a way,” David Stern said. “It’s going to take a couple of years to work its way out, but we’re very excited about its prospects.”

It’s time for some Thunder basketball!
