Three Keys to the Game

Bench play

The bench is always key. With Schröder most likely starting again, Oklahoma City’s bench is going to need someone to step up and fill the void. Last night, the bench scored 13 points, with Deonte Burton scoring 11 of those. The bench needs to get involved and do its part.

Free throws

Oklahoma City is slowly moving up the rankings. However, their last two have been crashing back to earth scenarios. Oklahoma City has to make free throws if they’re going to win a game, let alone a championship. If they can get over 75 percent, this game is done for.

Block out

The Thunder are the best offensive rebounding team in the NBA. The Nuggets are 1-5 when they’re out rebounded by their opponent. Oklahoma City has to prove and do that tonight. We saw last night where the Hornets were able to rebound and stay in the contest. Oklahoma City has to find a way to rebound and put this game out of reach.
