Good news Thunder fans, Victor Oladipo will play tonight vs. the Clippers on New Year’s Eve.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Oladipo was injured on Sunday, Dec. 11 in a nasty fall against Boston in the second quarter. Oklahoma City eventually won the game, but lost their starting shooting guard. He would miss the next nine games.

In the nine games Oladipo has missed, Oklahoma City has gone 5-4, including a four-game win streak that was snapped on Thursday night.

Anthony Morrow and Jerami Grant started in place of Oladipo. Oklahoma City went 5-2 with Morrow in the lineup and 0-2 with Grant. Oklahoma City is 15-9 with Oladipo in the starting lineup. It’s unknown if Oladipo will start or if there would be a minute restriction tonight. The Thunder game notes list Morrow as the starter.

According to Thunder head coach Billy Donovan, the shooting motion has been the issue for Oladipo. It was said to be painful to take any shot outside of 15 feet.

“He feels pretty comfortable in the lane, around the free-throw line,” Donovan said Thursday morning. “As he moves out to the top of the key and beyond, he really has significant pain when he basically breaks his wrist down. That force to shoot the ball is pretty painful for him.”

Oladipo is averaging 16.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 24 games this season.
