Kevin Durant wins first All-Star MVP Award

“It’s just an exciting feeling to be named an All-Star” Durant said. “But to step it up another level and win MVP is a dream come true.”

It’s just the next step in development for Durant. First Rookie of the year, Scoring champion, First team All-NBA and now NBA All-Star Game MVP. He was 14-25 from the floor for 36 points, 7 rebounds.

“Dream come true. Just blessed to be here” said Durant. “They were feeding me the ball. I’m glad to be taking this back to Oklahoma City.”

Durant also played a game high 38 minutes.

“I wasn’t surprised at all. Me and Scotty have been talking about this for a couple of weeks.”

Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook was not forgotten. In his second consecutive All-Star appearance, he had 21 points in 28 minutes. He was very explosive. In a game where some players thought it to be a reason to explode to the rim, Westbrook called it just another game.

Westbrook had his own highlight for the All-Star game:
