Kevin Durant was very vocal this summer when the original schedule was released without the Thunder playing on Christmas day. However, he’ll get his wish. Dwight Howard will bring the Orlando Magic into the newly renovated and named Chesapeake Energy Arena on Christmas Day. Game time will be 7 p.m. on ESPN. Magic finished fourth in the East last season with a record of 52-30 behind Chicago, Miami and Boston.
Howard arguably has been the face of the trade rumors. Still is not very certain if he’ll even be in Orlando on Christmas, due to him being very vocal about not wanting to be in Orlando.
If you remember, Kevin Durant led the Thunder last Christmas against the Denver Nuggets in a 114-106 win. KD went off with 44 points that night.
While in Oklahoma City, the Thunder are 3-5 against Orlando. Thunder have won the last two in Oklahoma City, while dropping every game in Orlando. You might remember last season’s thriller in OKC. KD led the Thunder to a 125-124 shootout victory. Also, the loss in Orlando last year came immediately after the trade. Thunder only suited up 8 players and only shot 33% from the field. We invite you to follow Thunder Digest on Twitter and like Thunder Digest on Facebook. Don't forget to subsribe on Youtube!
