We’re 24 days away from the start of the NBA season.
We’re 8 days away from the start of training camp.

However! The Gyms are open! Gyms are open!

Thunder will have a new practice facility. Presti said. “But to be honest with you, for me and everybody that loves basketball as much as I do and this city does, I think just having the team back on the floor is quite a gift in and of itself.”

Sam Presti reached out to player representatives, especially Russell Westbrook’s. “Part of my job – usually it’s a little bit earlier – is to have a little bit of a pulse on what’s going on within the market,” he explained.  “Today is no different.  We’re going to make a lot of phone calls to try to understand if there’s ways for us to improve…if there’s ways for us even just to take stock in what’s going on.”

Don’t expect Nate Robinson to be in OKC at start of training camp. Michael Falghoust of USA Today reported yesterday that OKC tried to work on a buy out before the lockout, but was unsuccessful.

Team Lebron 70, Team KD 63. Lebron blew a 21 pt third quarter lead, but found a way to come back to win the game late.

Former Thunder coach P.J. Carlesimo is expected to sign on as an assistant coach with the New Jersey Nets. Though neither hiring was confirmed, Elie was spotted walking past the press room wearing Nets practice gear.

Ball in Europe says Serge Ibaka has been “lackluster” in while playing for Real Madrid. He’ll play his final game for the Spanish ball club Thursday. ”

A “conflicted Kendrick Perkins is ready to play. For one, the former Celtics center is committed to proving that his right knee has fully healed from reconstructive surgery. There is a Perkins workout video floating around the Internet that shows the Oklahoma City center sweating through all sorts of conditioning routines that amateurs are advised not to try at home.
