Reggie Jackson jersey to be #15

The Thunder introduced Reggie Jackson at the Thunder basketball camp at the OKC Boy’s and Girls’ Club. A shy, timid Jackson answered questions for the Oklahoma City media, mentioning how Kevin Durant was his favorite player throughout college. Talked about how respect for what Scott Brooks has done for the Thunder organization.

Jackson was drafted 24th overall in Thursday’s NBA Draft. Jackson averaged 18.2 points per game as a senior and was the first Boston College player drafted since 2007 (2nd round Jared Dudley).

“They’re family oriented.” Jackson explained,  “Something I feel like I’ve always been searching for.”

When asked about the reason he chose number 15 “Well, zero was taken, and probably wouldn’t have chose it anyway. Each number has its own meaning. Five for the five guys on the court. One for one team, one heart. ” Jackson said.

Jackson talked about going to the playoffs, and possibly further, “They [Thunder] were in the Western Conference Finals, and hopefully bring a title here.”

Jackson was a honorable mention for the AP All-American team his junior season. Also was selected as First team All ACC as well.
